WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

Welcome one and all to my little world! What will you find here, you ask? Well, you will definitely see a lot having to do with my favorite hobby - scrapbooking (both traditional & digital) and paper crafts. I also like to post tidbits about my life every once in a while to keep it "personal." The biggest stars in my world are my son, William, and my hubby (and biggest fan), David! I hope you enjoy it here, and please feel free to become a follower (Click "Follow this Blog" below to the right!). I'm constantly adding new ideas, great deals I may find on craft goodies and you may even run into a tutorial every now and then! Happy Blogging! :o) ~Vicky Jo

More Visor Clips

These were a hit the first time around, so I ended up making a few more for Christmas gifts! Now if I could just find time to make one for myself! :o)

Altered Notepads

Another Chick N Scratch Idea! (I love her site!) http://chicnscratch.typepad.com/stampinacademy/2008/03/notepad-tutoria.html

These can be addicting! My friend, Michelle, actually (carefully) takes out the spiral of each notepad and then punches out the holes after covering with PP. Comes out much cleaner and neater… I’ll definitely try it that way next time around!

Post-it Note pads

A great tutorial for these is posted on the ChickNScratch blog (http://chicnscratch.typepad.com/stampinacademy/2008/07/bind-it-all-pos.html). Lots of fun to make and I finally got to use my Bind-it-all! Unfortunately, this is the only one I remembered to take pictures of!

Snowman Soup

I made several of these “Snowman Soup” baggies to add to all my gifts this Christmas. Super easy to make and very cute! Google “Snowman Soup” and you’ll get tons of sites with different takes and tutorials for this easy gift idea!

Candy Boxes

I got the idea for these on The California Stampin’ Blog (http://californiastampin.blogspot.com/2008/12/christmas-treat-for-my-hostess.html) . They made great personal gifts and were also the perfect size to slip in a gift card! I don’t have the big shot, but easily adapted the cover design using my Storybook Cricut Cartridge.

Easy Bath Salts

I picked up these bath salts in the dollar bin at Target a while back and found them easy to decorate with some PP and custom printed labels! My recipients loved the personal touch! :o)

Coaster Mini-Calendars

These were so fun and easy to make! Basically made from a coaster, covered with PP and a “bulldog” clip at the top. And then each of the months printed on Cardstock and adhered to a PP cut to 3.5 x 3.75 inches. Add a few embellishments, and voila! I was in a rush to get these done, so they weren’t very decorated – but given more time, I bet these can get really fancy!

Neat idea for coasters...

I usually lift a lot of ideas, but I came up with this one when my FIL said he wanted pictures for his truck. I basically took some raw coasters, decorated them and then glued clothespins to the back to clip onto the visor! I think they turned out pretty neat!

Christmas Cards!

One of my favorite things about Christmas is making Christmas Cards! This year I made around 125 of them! Above are just some of my favorites!

Giving the blog thing a try...

Lately I've been spending a lot of time visiting various blogs... mostly having to do with scrapping or paper craft ideas. So I figured I might give this thing a try... what the heck?
